The Process

Step 1
Are you Eligible?

Real estate and mortgage agents are not eligible. All other businesses registered in Canada may qualify, subject to certain requirements. Contact us for more information

Brainstorm Requirements

Not all online, website, or marketing work qualifies for this grant. We will collaborate with you to refine your requirements, ensuring they align with the grant's coverage. Together, we will develop a strategic plan to maximize the benefits of the grant

Step 3
Apply for the Grant
The application process involves multiple steps, during which we will assist you. Once your application is accepted, CDAP will conduct an interview to verify your business and review the requirements. Subsequently, you will submit your expense plan, and upon its approval, we will proceed with the work.
 
Step 4
Do the Work
This is where we complete all the agreed-upon work. We can meet in person or via Zoom, ensuring your full involvement from day one. We will keep you updated on our progress at every step and accommodate modifications until the project is completed.
Step 5
Sub Label
Make sure You are Satisfied
Upon mutual satisfaction with the completed work, as agreed upon initially, we will issue an invoice. You will need to make the payment using your own funds first. We will then use proof of payment (e-transfer, demand draft, cheque, Visa receipts) to file for the grant reimbursement
Final Step
Get Paid

We must submit a form on the CDAP website along with proof of payment to the government for reimbursement of the grant, up to $2400 (excluding taxes).

Proof of payment is required upon completion of work. Additionally, other forms must be completed as part of the application process.

The grant funds can typically be expected within 4-6 weeks after submitting all required forms and proof of payments

An invoice and proof of payment, such as a credit card statement, e-transfer, bank statement, wire transfer, or cancelled cheque from a financial institution, must be submitted before micro-grant funding is paid to the business. They verify that funds have successfully transferred from your account to the vendor’s account. Invoices marked PAID or showing a zero balance are not acceptable.

Grant funds generally require expenses to be incurred with vendors who are registered businesses in Canada and owned by Canadians

No, family members and corporations under common control are considered non-arms length companies. Non eligible expenses include non-arms length transaction between a CDAP applicant and their chosen service provider (ie a transaction between related parties as described in Section 251 of the Income Tax Act, which defines related persons as individuals connected by blood relationship, marriage, or adoption, and any situation involving different degrees of control by these person or corporations)

No, all expense claims must be dated at least one day after the date of your approval notification.

Yes, but they must be an employee on payroll.

Successful applicants will be provided with a one-time payment, upon submission of a final report satisfactory to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC). Payments will be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT). The OCC will assess the submitted expenses against the approved eligibility criteria and determine the final grant amount. All decisions made by the OCC will be final. The Government of Canada retains the right to audit.

Each business may only receive one grant through this program.

No, online businesses are eligible. Subject to other requirements like (Drop shipping businesses are not elligible)

No, wages are not an eligible expense.

Only hardware purchases directly related to an e-commerce strategy are eligible, these purchases are subsidized at a rate 20% up to a maximum of $480.
